As everywhere in the world, improving women’s income is a key factor in the development of the entire community. While the farmer programme in Nigeria currently includes ca 149 women farmers, we have trained a larger group of women as part of the community development, with the aim of improving their earnings.

551 women from five cocoa farming communities attended the soap making training we organised in 2017, 2018 and 2020. The women can make the products for their own use or sell them at local markets or through various sales channels.

The cultivation of food crops is also a good way to increase income. We have arranged trainings for beekeeping 150 women. Additionally we have delivered tomato seedlings and cassava stems to support local food production in the communities
