The training we organised in September 2018 was attended to by 226 women from a total of five cocoa farming communities. The training focuses on the production of liquid soap, bar soap and insect repellents. The women can make the products for their own use or sell them at local markets or even through various sales channels. The cultivation of food crops is also a good way to increase income. The cultivation of cassava, for instance, is often taken care of by women, which is why the programme also covers the maintenance of cassava plantations.
